The following Assessments from the September 2008 Medical Advisory Panel (MAP) meeting are in press.

• KRAS Mutations and Epidermal Growth Factor Receptor Inhibitor Therapy in Metastatic Colorectal Cancer
• Special Report: Magnetoencephalography and Magnetic Source Imaging for the Purpose of Presurgical Localization of Epileptic Lesions—A Challenge for Technology Evaluation
• Special Report: Recent Developments in Prostate Cancer Genetics and Genetic Testing 

The MAP also voted electronically to accept staff recommendation on a revision of the draft, “CT Colonography (“Virtual Colonoscopy”) for Colon Cancer Screening,” which was tabled pending publication and incorporation of data from the ACRIN-6664 trial (“Computed Tomography in Screening Healthy Participants for Colorectal Cancer,” ClinicalTrials.gov Identifier NCT00084929).  This Executive Summary is also posted.

• CT Colonography (“Virtual Colonoscopy”) for Colon Cancer Screening 

The MAP voted to table the following two drafts:  FDG Positron Emission Tomography (PET) and FDG PET/Computed Tomography Fusion (PET/CT) for the Detection of Recurrence after Treatment of Epithelial Ovarian Cancer” and Screening for Vertebral Fracture with Dual X-Ray Absorptiometry.”
